FLITELite™ is a highly efficient LED flashlight that snaps on to your headset microphone.  More than just a flashlight, it is a lighting system with advanced microcomputer technology.  Comprised of three main components – A specific adapter for your headset, a three LED light unit with an infrared proximity switch controlled with a touch of your lip, and AAA battery pack good for 200 hours of continuous use.  The kit comes complete with batteries and other accessories.  FLITELite takes only minutes to install.

The LED light unit is controlled with a proximity sensor.  Touch it with your lip to turn on three lights, twice for one light, and three times for off.  FLITELite will auto off after one minute, and shut itself off in bright light.  You will never have to take your hands off the controls to activate your light, fumble around, look for, or lose your flashlight again.

The soft white LED’s will not interfere with night vision.  The full spectrum light and low reflection reduces the amount of light needed.  Under red light, magenta symbols disappear on charts, and during electrical failures, red markings on instruments and gauges are unreadable. Blue/Green light is not safe for preflight, or over wing lighting since it makes Blue 100LL fuel disappear. Since FLITELite™ uses full spectrum soft white light, you do not experience those potentially dangerous side effects.

Each FLITELite comes with a chamfered adapter, with a design inspired by the F-117 Stealth Fighter. Each specific headset brand, and in some cases headset model, use a specific adapter made to match the microphone.

Its microprocessor uses software that advances highly efficient LED systems to the next level. Developed by Momentum Interactive with NASA STATOP and NAFI Master CFI assistance, the world class FLITELite™ engineering team developed and integrated LiteTouch™ technology for hands free operations and incorporated a LiteDetect™ sensor to shut itself off in bright light. FLITELite™ is the first smart light that is custom fit to a flex boom headset.

FLITELite incorporates solid state, computer logic chip control, with a program developed to deliver light when and where you need it. Other "microphone lights" utilize a mechanical on/off switch. With the mechanical switch version, you have to stabilize the light with one hand to keep it from pushing away from your face when the switch is activated. This isn’t the case with FLITELite! Our switch is a revolutionary LiteTouch design requires ZERO pressure to activate. This permits true hands free operation of the light. On a dark night, we’d like you to have both hands free to fly the aircraft.
