Panther C.A.T. System
(Cranial Audio Transmission System)
2001-ACFT Pilot Pro

The 2001-ACFT Panther C.A.T. System is the 21st Century replacement for the noise attenuating; noise canceling head set and all other similar devices. The unique design does not interfere with eye or sunglasses and weighs ONCE OUNCE, eliminating the "over the head" or "behind the head pressure producing head band," not ot mention the sweat producing ear cups.

The heavy boom microphone has been eliminated since all of the transmitted and received audio is derived from and deliver to the wearer's ears. The ear pieces produce a noise reduction rating (NRR) of up to 46 dB with custom ear pieces and up to 31 dB with the universal ear pieces. They are connected to the Interface Controller with a lightweight, heavy-duty cable and locking connector. The Controller interfaces directly with most general aviation avionics packages, which include navigation, communications, radios, and intercoms. The Panther C.A.T. System is complete with an individual volume control for the wearer's comfort. In addition the Pilot Pro utilizes a double shielded coil cord with gold-plated avionics connectors to eliminate any possible interference when using it in close proximity to a handheld transceiver. The 2001-ACFT Pilot Pro Controller weighs only 9 ounces and is covered by a limited lifetime replacement warranty. The ear pieces and coil cord are covered by a one-year warranty against defects and workmanship

The heart of the C.A.T. System is the unique dual ear pieces that weigh only one ounce. Head squeezing pressure and sweating around the ears has been eliminated since the C.A.T. System fits inside the Ear Canal. Because of the presence of Side Tone (the ability to hear yourself talk) in the aircraft's communications and intercom systems, one ear piece contains the receiver transducer and the other ear piece contains the microphone transducer. Without this configuration audio feedback would occur.
The 2001-ACFT Pilot Pro C.A.T. System Controller's clip attaches in a convenient location such as a pocket or window frame and the individual receiver volume control is located for easy adjustment. The ear pieces weighing only one ounce are connected to the controller with a locking connector. An adapter is also available for helicopter use.
2001-APT Remote Velcro Push To Talk Button for yoke mounting. The button is mounted with Velcro and has a coil cord with a 1/4 inch plug and a .206 jack for interfacing into the aircraft's avionics system. 2001-APTH Push to Talk same as above but with 3mm plug for handheld portable transceiver (pictured).

Panther C.A.T. System Complete: $495
